Custom project: Fruits and flowers for an elegant wedding cake topper

Arrived to their new home the Apple and Peach cake toppers! The couple choosen this unique composition of fruits and flowers to represent their different native cities: New York (apple) and Atlanta (peach). The composition is cute, colorful and elegant at the same time: the apple is a little glazed while the peach seams velvety; the flowers have the colors choosen by the couple, white and green; the fruits are engraved with their initials. On the banner their names and wedding date. They also ask for having all pieces separate, not fixed on the base to be putted directly on the cake (little clear plastics with the shape of each piece are applied under them to separate, in a quite invisible way, cake and toppers).

Two cute and funny fishes in pearled pink and teal, wearing wedding accessories (veil and top hat) in an “under the sea” scene with weeds, corals, real sand and seashells! An hidden wire it’s a little trick that allow to support them like they are suspended and swimming! The banner is removable, as asked by the bride.

ITA: Il cake topper con i pesciolini che si sbaciucchiano è appena arrivato a destinazione! Sono due divertenti pesci color rosa perlato e blu-verde, che indossano velo (lei) e cappello a cilindro (lui) in una scena sottomarina con alghe, coralli, vere conchiglie e sabbia. Un filo metallico nascosto nei coralli è un piccolo trucco che consente di sostenerli come se fossero sospesi e stessero nuotando! Il banner con i nomi e la data è removibile, come richiesto dalla sposa.

My handpainted funny kitties sketchbook for the Etsy Italian Team monthly challenge!

...just completed the creation for the February Etsy Italia Team challenge! The theme was "Moleskine". The monthly challenge is a funny chance to find new ways for expressing our creativity with themes, colors and materials different than those we usually use! So I've hand drawing and painted with acrylic colors this notebook! The shape of the window is cut-out and all sides of the cover have a drawing. I'm happy about the result, the cats behind the window look like a funny amazing gang!
