Dol is a Korean tradition that celebrates the birthday of a one-year-old baby. This ceremony blesses the child with a prosperous future and has taken on great significance in Korea. The birthday babies wear traditional outfit (
hanbok) and hat.
(from Wikipedia) So, these cake toppers are a unique and original idea for the party! It's a long work for a beautiful result: the hanboks are personalized handpainting the little embroidered details of the actual outfits that the baby girls (or boys) will wear on their big day! It's a pleasure for me look at the pictures that my clients send with their lovely children, so elegant in their hanboks!
I started to create these cake toppers after my first custom order and I'm receiving new orders. I changed some details, always searching a better result for a figurine that will last as keepsake! It's also possible to add an ox or cow (babies born in the Year of the Ox).
